The holidays aren’t over yet for one lucky person. We finally chose a winner for our annual Hear for the Holidays competition!
Back in November 2022, we opened our inbox to everyone needing help with their hearing.
How does it work? People are encouraged to nominate a loved one to win a premium set of hearing aids and hearing healthcare in time for the holiday season. This contest is unique because it’s driven by the kindness of others.
We received a ton of nominees this year and were moved by all the love and support we received for hosting such a special event.
This is our second time organizing the contest, and the incredible spirit brought forward by people like you in our Lawrenceburg community blew us away. It warms our hearts that you stand behind your loved ones and the importance of better hearing through your participation.
Helping someone who cares so much about their family, friends, and the neighborhood is truly in the spirit of this contest.
If you haven’t met Denny yet, allow me to proudly introduce you to him.
Meet Our Latest Winner
It’s our pleasure to announce Denny as the official winner of the 2022 Hear for the Holidays contest.
Before he was awarded this set of hearing aids, Denny had been struggling with a hearing loss for many years. He was unfortunately involved in a car accident—at no fault of his own—that left him with damaged hearing.
His hearing loss progressed over the years to the point where he could only enjoy his favorite TV shows by using on-screen captions. Denny was especially frustrated, given that he was a retired optometrist and was used to helping people overcome their declining health conditions.
As a result, Denny’s daughter noticed a steep decline in his attitude toward life and, most notably, worsening hearing loss. At this point, he was solely using the captions on the TV, as any excess sound was confusing to him.
We are so grateful that Tiffany—Denny’s daughter—submitted a nomination. Denny is precisely whom this contest was started for – peers who need help and will make the most of it.
Congratulations, Denny; we wish you all the best and hope that your restored hearing will help bring you the joy you deserve!

We would have never known about Denny’s situation if it wasn’t for the fantastic nomination we received from Tiffany. She provided us with all the details we needed to know about Denny’s struggle.
Her words jumped off the screen, and we could tell she poured her heart and soul into this page-long submission. We all read it, and after doing so, we immediately shortlisted Denny.
With so many nominations received this year, it took us a while to come to a decision. However, it was Tiffany’s passion and love for her father that ultimately convinced us.
We feel that awarding Denny these high-end hearing aids will help not only him but also Tiffany and the rest of their family.
The more people we can help, the better, and that’s the purpose of Hear for the Holidays.

Delivering such great news to someone and their family has been a truly rewarding experience. We want to thank all the nominees and those who submitted nominations. We are so happy that all of you understand the goals of this competition, and we hope to grow it even more next year.
