What Local People Say

Patricia Faust, hearing aid success story

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆

Since having my hearing aids fitted, I now feel included with my surroundings and able to hear the beautiful sounds around me.

The brain needs clear signals to embed or consolidate new memories. If the signal is fuzzy, the brain decides that the signal is not clear enough to work with. So, the memory process does not happen. When the brain continues to be under this much stress it continues to lose neurons and synapsis (connections) that facilitate communication.

Your brain needs to work for you until the day you die. You have control over that – by treating your hearing loss. As an FYI – I wear a hearing aid. It is an easy fix that gives you so much back.

Vicki Shroyer, hearing aid success story

I was so amazed and my husband was so thankful that I have hearing aids.

I first realized I had a hearing loss when my husband complained about the TV being too loud or having my friends repeating what they had said. Then I realized I must have a hearing problem. I felt like, OK, I have been warned!

My first impressions of Flex Audiology were that they are clean, friendly, and compassionate. Wow! You have no idea as to how hearing aids have helped me! Before hearing aids, my volume on the TV was at 20. Now, with the hearing aids, the volume is at 12. I was so amazed and my husband was so thankful that I have hearing aids. I have often recommended Flex Audiology to a few of my friends.

They are very helpful.

I became aware of my hearing loss when I was a small child and wasn’t sure what was going on. Everyone at Flex Audiology was very concerned and helpful with my hearing loss. Now, I can hear better. Don’t always say what, huh, please repeat anymore. Go see them – they are very helpful.

I wish I had done this earlier.

I first became aware of my hearing challenges a year ago when I visited my daughter in Charlotte, NC. She and her family talked low and had their TV on low volume & I could not hear anything. I decided it was time to do something about it. I was missing out on a lot.

I didn’t have any concerns prior to my appointment. It was time to do something about my problem.

I was impressed by their office and the welcome I received.

Now, with my hearing aids, I can hear so many things and join in the conversations. Everyone is happy that I did this because they don’t have to repeat themselves all the time!

I would advise anyone who is considering an appointment that they should do this for themselves and will be happy they did! The audiologist was very patient with me and worked with me during several visits. I feel very confident and relaxed wearing them. I wish I would have done this earlier.

She answered all my questions.

I first became aware of my hearing loss probably about 10 years ago! I was always asking people to repeat what they said to me! Or always say ‘Huh?’

Before my appointment, I was concerned about getting old! People seeing me wear hearing aids! Embarrassing!

Dr. Person was great! She did an extensive hearing exam and explained what she was doing! She made me comfortable, as I was a little anxious at first! She answered all my questions (I had a list).

I hear great now! My daughter isn’t complaining about my hearing anymore!

First, I would highly recommend Flex Audiology! Dr. Person will take good care of you! Also, her office manager, Ashley, does a great job!

They were very helpful.

I noticed I was having trouble hearing about a year ago. It was hard for me to hear the high pitch sounds. My wife was always asking me, ‘Did you hear that?’

I went to two other hearing aid companies but was not happy with them. I was impressed with Flex. They were very helpful. If anyone is thinking of making an appointment, I would tell them not to delay. Go to Flex.

I heard lots of sounds I had never heard in quite a while.

I realized I had a hearing loss while watching TV and when groups of people were talking. I was concerned prior to my appointment at Flex Audiology, as I had heard lots of people say they did not like theirs hearing aids.

I had no problems with mine. At my first appointment, I heard lots of sounds I had never heard in quite a while. With my hearing aids, I do not miss out on conversation with groups. I would tell anyone that I’m very happy and to give it a try. Nothing to lose.

You don’t realize the sounds you miss out on.

My hearing loss was sudden , it was a shock. Since it was only one ear, I needed to know the impact. I was impressed with the genuine concern and the professionalism of the audiologist at Flex Audiology. You don’t realize the sounds you miss out on until you have the new hearing aid(s). If you know someone who is struggling with their hearing, remind them of the downside of not having the aids and how helpful Flex Audiology was to me.

I would highly recommend Flex Audiology.

I was very young when I first noticed my hearing loss, so I don’t really remember. Maybe 10,11 years old?

Prior to my appointment at Flex Audiology, I just thought getting a hearing aid meant I was getting old! Pride, I would say! I didn’t have any concerns – just went and had a good experience!

Now, I can hear better! I used to feel ‘left out’ in groups. Example, Sunday school or visiting in someone’s home with lots of other people.

If you are having hearing difficulties, then go get checked out! It opens up the world a lot for you and helps get RID of some pride. You can hear and pride is no longer in control of your life!!!
