Dr. Erica Person

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Erica Person, who specializes in hearing aid and tinnitus management, has been a private practice owner since 2005. She welcomes both adult and pediatric patients while operating in an unbundled service delivery model.

Her dedication and commitment to the audiology field extends beyond the Flex Audiology walls. Dr. Person thoroughly enjoys hosting The Unbundled Audiologist podcast. Through this platform, she teaches other private practice owners how to thrive in the current hearing care environment.

Additionally, Dr. Person is one of the founding members of the Indiana Audiology Coalition and presently serves as their president. She is also the current president of the Audiology Practice Standards Organization 2025.

Dr. Person notes that her greatest accomplishment is creating a well-balanced life where she can serve others while still spending quality time with her husband and two small children.

Dr. Person was honored with the Joel Wernick Award at the ADA 2023 AuDacity conference, recognizing her remarkable contributions to audiology.

Current Leadership: President-Elect of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA), beginning January 1st, 2026. This elected professional role does not change clinic availability; it simply ensures patients here benefit from the same standards guiding hearing care nationwide.

  • Excellent service. Knowledgable doctors and very nice staff. Highly recommend! Drs Person and McGuire are both professional and compassionate/understanding to their patients concerns and needs. I had tried hearing aids a few years ago only to end up frustrated with them. This time around was a totally different experience. If there is a question that they cannot answer they will reach out to whomever necessary to find the answer. I also deal with tinnitus and Flex Audiology was the only place that offers tinnitus cognitive behavior therapy to learn how to manage my tinnitus. No, tinnitus cannot be cured but it CAN be managed to help you lead a healthier/happier life. I myself am in the healthcare profession and know what to look for as far as quality care. I would not hesitate to recommend Flex Audiology to anyone who has hearing needs.
